Important information about phishing

Phishing is a type of fraud in which a criminal impersonates our company and tries to extort payments for liabilities by providing other, bogus bank accounts.

The e-mail templates, including e-mail footers, and the e-mail address are confusingly similar to the original ones. However, the differences are noticeable. E-mails are sent from a domain other than the proper one - balex.eu

Recently used by fraudsters, the bogus domain name is balexs.biz however, please be vigilant also to other similar addresses that may be equally confusing.

E-mail footers are often incomplete and do not contain all the elements. The content of the e-mails may be surprising, such as information about a change of account.

How can you counteract phishing?

  1. If something arouses your slightest surprise, confirm this information directly with the representative.
  2. Don't react to suspicious links.
  3. Do not open attachments in suspicious e-mails.
  4. Protect your passwords and don't disclose them to anyone.
  5. Do not share confidential information with anyone.
  6. Check website URLs (website addresses). In many phishing cases, the website addresses appear to be legitimate and legal, but the URLs may be misspelled or the domain may be different (.com instead of .eu). There may be gaps in the domains.
  7. Keep your browser up-to-date and use security measures.

In case of any doubts, please contact the Representatives of Balex Metal directly.
