Instructions for installing the Zenit premium roof gutter system.

The prime advantage of the Zenit premium gutter system is the short installation time and high durability of the completed system.

1. Have all the necessary system components and a set of wood screws ready before beginning the installation.

2. First fasten the eave battens to the rafters. Mark out the gutter hook spacing on the eave battens after fastening. Position the outermost hooks 10 cm from the roof edges. The maximum spacing between the other gutter hooks is 60 cm. Fasten all hooks at the height of the rafter.

3. Mark out the bending points on the gutter hooks. Measure and mark them precisely with a tape measure and a spirit level. It is recommended that the downgrade of the gutter line be at least 0.5 mm per metre of the gutter.

4. Start bending the hooks into shape after they have all been marked.

5. Fasten the hooks to the eave battens with wood screws. Start with the outermost hooks, so that cord can be tied between them to mark out the level required for the other hooks. Stretch the cord between the noses and the bottoms of the brackets to properly determine the required uniform downgrade for all the brackets. Pull the cord tight. The hooks are installed towards the discharge spout.

6. Mount the roof gutters on the hooks. Remember to install the branch to the roof gutter in the appropriate location and draw its contour. This allows the location of the discharge spout to be determined. Cut out the discharge inlet with snips and deburr the sharp edges properly.

7. With the roof gutters mounted in place, secure them by latching the hook snaps. Optionally, the connections between the gutters can be reinforced with a rigid wire.

8. Next install the connectors. Mount the connector onto the front fold of the roof gutters being joined, and then close the back part of the connector on the gutter fold. The assembly of Zenit system parts is very quick.

9. Cap the gutter end with a gutter plug. Press it into place. As with all other parts of the Zenit system, it does not require additional sealing with silicone.

10. The final stage is to install the downpipe. Attach it to the wall with the clamps, then connect the downpipe to the spout.
