The small town of Båtsfjord, north of the Arctic circle, is the site of a new cold store, constructed with thermal insulation panels manufactured in Poland.
The primary challenge for the cold store project was the harsh weather conditions, which included high humidity and extreme temperature changes.
To ensure constant indoor temperatures, the project owner decided to use PU-F sandwich panels with improved thermal insulating performance. These products are designed specifically for cold stores and freezer rooms.
The project was completed with the following materials from Balex Metal:
- PU-F polyurethane-core (PIR) sandwich panels, thickness: 160 mm: for the building walls
